Uber Eats
Why not Uber Eats?
In Japan, people feel they need to give themselves permission to order Uber Eats. By showing what can happen if you don’t, we gave them reasons, no-matter how frivolous.
Reasons like “it’s cold” …
… or “it’s hot”.
Eh?
Eh? A spontaneous expression of surprise. A single word that carries remarkable emotional range, instantly conveying disbelief, delight, and discovery. Perfect for highlighting our same as instore prices.
Safety jackets
In Japan, it’s not a legal requirement for delivery partners to wear protective clothing, so they don’t. We’re just not cool enough.
To counter this, in a three-way collaboration between Fragment (Hiroshi Fujiwara, aka the Godfather of Japanese street fashion), Uber Eats Japan, and Komine (Japan’s leading motorbike safety gear maker), we produced a jacket that was both stylish and safe. Jackets were snapped up by our delivery partners, with some changing hands online for over $2,000 USD. Does that make us cool? I’d like to think so.
